Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking AI Automation Engineers in Johannesburg to design and deploy AI/agentic automation workflows within Payments. You will automate reconciliations, audits, analytics and incident responses while integrating APIs and data pipelines for scalable, auditable operations.

We expect hands-on experience with production-grade AI solutions, LLM orchestration, and AI APIs such as Anthropic/Claude, using Java/Spring AI or Python and n8n for workflow automation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building production-grade AI/agentic solutions.
• Strong understanding of LLM orchestration and multi-agent systems in high-stakes environments.
• Experience with AI APIs such as Anthropic/Claude or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy AI/agentic automation workflows across Payments.
• Automate high-value processes including reconciliations, audit & reporting, financial analytics and incident automation.
• Develop solutions using Claude/Anthropic APIs, Java/Spring AI and Python.
• Build workflow automation using n8n or equivalent platforms.
• Work with multi-agent orchestration and integrate internal & external systems through APIs and data pipelines.
• Build scalable, auditable, compliant production-grade solutions.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort while maintaining human oversight.
