Content Nation Media (Pty) Ltd (under license to Condé Nast) has an exciting opportunity for a highly organised Junior Administrative Assistant to support its operations. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth coordination of editorial and administrative processes, requiring strong organisational skills and attention to detail within a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities
- Cross-functional coordination: Act as a primary point of contact and coordination hub between sales, editorial, and the executive team to ensure brand property activities are aligned with both creative vision and commercial goals.
- Information flow management: Facilitate the flow of information across departments, ensuring that Editorial standards are respected while commercial objectives are tracked.
- Stakeholder alignment: Assist in the “translation” of project requirements between technical, creative, and commercial stakeholders to prevent bottlenecks.
- Project administration: Provide administrative support to the project team in coordinating project activities from inception to completion.
- Tracking and reporting: Prepare and regularly update tracking documents and tools to monitor deliverables across the sales and editorial pipeline.
- Stakeholder follow-up: Follow up with stakeholders across the business to ensure progress on tasks, submission of data, and the timely delivery of information materials.
- Executive reporting: Assist with the preparation of high-impact materials, including integrated reports, presentations, and meeting collateral tailored for executive review.
- Briefing support: Attend meetings to capture briefs and understand project scopes.
- Minutes and accountability tracking: Accurately record key decisions, particularly those involving cross-departmental agreements, and track action items to ensure accountability.
- Information consolidation: Receive, organise, and consolidate correspondence, data, and research to serve as a single source of truth for the project team.
- Post-campaign reporting: Assist with the compilation of research and “wrap reports” that demonstrate the success of brand properties to both clients (sales) and internal leadership (executive team).
- General team support: Contribute to the overall success of the team by performing additional duties as required.
Educational
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Business Management, Project Management or a related field (required)
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or support role.
Skills and competencies
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
