Job summary

The VKB Group is seeking an Industrial Engineering Graduate to develop core skills through on-the-job training and by assisting the Industrial Engineer with admin tasks to gain valuable experience.

Responsibilities include designing efficient production processes to eliminate waste, compiling and distributing key statistics to management, and ensuring projects stay within budget and timelines; you may be rotated between departments during the training.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/NQF 4 equivalent.
• BEng in Industrial Engineering.
• Some knowledge of continuous improvement and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Compile and manage allocated projects within the data and project department.
• Compile and distribute key stats to the management team.
• Ensure each project is completed within budget and timeline.
• Identify possible projects in the processing environment and production needs.

Job description

The Industrial Engineering Graduate position will develop core skills in the areas outlined below by undertaking the required on-the-job training, by assisting Industrial Engineer with different Admin-related tasks to obtain valuable on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Design efficient production processes to eliminate waste and make the most of every resource involved in manufacturing
• Compile and manage allocated project within the data and project department
• Compile and distribute key stats to the management team
• Ensure each project is completed within the allocated budget and timeline
• Identifying possible projects in the processing environment
• Identifying production needs on a continues basis to ensure effectivity of production

Qualifications

• Grade 12/ NQF 4 Equivalent
• Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering
• Some knowledge of Continuous Improvement/ production machinery, processes and standards
• Computer Literate in MS office package is essential
• Must be joining an Internship/ Graduate Program for the first time
• May be rotated between different departments as part of the training
• A willingness to work overtime including weekends, when required
