Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Junior Industrial Engineer to join our Centurion operations, on-site, to learn and apply industrial engineering concepts that enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will support senior engineers in data analysis, process improvements, and SOP documentation in a structured environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering with 0–2 years’ experience, proficient in Excel, and familiar with Minitab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in an industrial engineering or operations support role.
• Basic understanding of process analysis and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with Excel; knowledge of Minitab is a plus.
• Strong eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a practical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection and analysis of operational data to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Support the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives under supervision.
• Participate in workplace layout optimization and material flow analysis.
• Help develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for new processes.
• Collaborate with production teams to gather feedback and ensure smooth adoption of changes.
• Learn and apply principles of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement in daily tasks.
