Job summary

PBT Group is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a collaborative development team delivering scalable, enterprise-grade software solutions. You will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities include participating in architecture sessions, implementing RESTful services, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines while ensuring code quality and documentation across the full software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Java EE, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Design and develop RESTful services and backend APIs.
• Strong object-oriented design and software engineering practices.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar).
• Experience in Agile software delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
• Develop clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following standards.
• Participate in technical design sessions, solution discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Contribute to system design, enhancements, and new features.
• Perform code reviews and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects across environments.
• Collaborate with BAs, QA, and stakeholders to ensure delivery.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement.

This role is suited to a developer who enjoys building robust backend applications, contributing to system design, and working across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Java-based applications while collaborating closely with architects, business analysts, testers, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
• Develop clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following established development standards and best practices.
• Participate in technical design sessions, solution discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Contribute to system design, application enhancements, and new feature development.
• Perform code reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects across development and testing environments.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automation and DevOps practices.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Solid experience with Java EE, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

Qualifications
