Job summary

PBT Group is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a collaborative development team delivering scalable, enterprise-grade software solutions. You will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications across the full software lifecycle in an Agile environment.

You will work with architects, business analysts, testers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions, support CI/CD pipelines, and produce technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Solid experience with Java EE, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Experience with REST APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Java 8 and/or Java 11.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience working in Agile software delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

PBT Group is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a collaborative development team delivering scalable, enterprise-grade software solutions. This role is suited to a developer who enjoys building robust backend applications, contributing to system design, and working across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Java-based applications while collaborating closely with architects, business analysts, testers, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.

• Develop clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following established development standards and best practices.

• Participate in technical design sessions, solution discussions, and architecture reviews.

• Contribute to system design, application enhancements, and new feature development.

• Perform code reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects across development and testing environments.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.

• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automation and DevOps practices.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java.

• Solid experience with Java EE, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

• Experience developing RESTful services and backend APIs.

• Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.

• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or similar.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, or a related field (preferred).

• Relevant Java or cloud certifications are advantageous.
