Job summary

ATS Client is seeking a Senior Java EE Developer with 7+ years of hands-on enterprise Java experience to design, build and maintain secure, scalable backend systems within complex environments. You will contribute to solution architecture and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust business applications.

You will lead development streams, mentor junior developers, and work with REST, microservices, and modern tooling such as Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms

Qualifications

• 7+ years enterprise Java development experience required.
• Strong experience with Java EE/Jakarta EE, Spring, Spring Boot, ORM frameworks.
• Solid REST APIs, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration knowledge.
• In-depth AWS experience (API Gateway, EC2, Lambda).
• Strong SQL and database design experience.
• Experience with message brokers (JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ) and SOA.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD automation.
• Experience deploying and monitoring Java apps in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Apache Camel, MuleSoft, or other integration frameworks.
• Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
• Caching (Redis, Hazelcast).
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise backend applications using Java EE/Jakarta EE standards.
• Build and optimize APIs, microservices, and integration layers with Spring/Spring Boot, JAX-RS, JPA, EJB, Hibernate.
• Develop high‑performance server‑side components and batch processing workflows.
• Implement unit and integration tests; enforce code quality and standards.
• Participate in solution architecture sessions for new and existing systems.
• Contribute to scalable, modular backend architectures and performance improvements.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and propose system improvements.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and ORM mappings.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient data access.
• Integrate systems using REST, SOAP, JMS, Kafka, etc.
• Develop middleware components and enterprise integration patterns (EIP).
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Build containerized services with Docker; Kubernetes experience a plus.
• Experience deploying Java apps in AWS/Azure/on‑prem environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation/config tools is advantageous.
• Implement security best practices (OAuth2, SSO, JWT, Keycloak, Azure AD).
• Lead development streams and mentor junior developers; conduct code reviews.
