Job summary

IVANHOE MINES in South Africa seeks an IT Technician to provide technical support and guidance for IT systems and users, either directly or by phone, e-mail or other network interaction. You will install and maintain computer systems and networks to achieve optimum functionality.

The role requires 5+ years in data management and hardware/software support, with CompTIA A+/Network+ and other certifications, a valid driver’s license, and a related ICT degree being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in data management and hardware/software support.
• CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications required.
• Valid driver's license.
• CompTIA Security+, MCSA, CCNA/Fortinet NSE4 (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Install and configure ICT equipment and software.
• Maintain desktops and laptops.
• Manage asset inventory with 100% accuracy.
• Provide 1st level network support and issue escalation.
• Troubleshoot ICT issues and helpdesk tickets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and security measures.
