Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking an IT Specialist to oversee the IT department, covering all technical infrastructure, networks, and assets. The role requires hands-on management of server rooms, ERP support, and budget oversight.

Ideal candidates will have a IT degree/diploma, 3 years in a similar role (preferably in automotive/manufacturing), and strong experience with ERP systems, VMware, WAN, Windows, and Office 365. Commitment to reliability and security is essential.

Qualifications

Matric/Grade 12 is required.
Degree or Diploma in IT or equivalent is preferred.
3 years’ experience in a similar IT role within automotive/manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

Establish, monitor, and maintain the server room and network to ensure reliable operation.
Proactively address operational issues to support production and on-time delivery.
Support ERP system and maintain shopfloor devices to ensure ERP runs smoothly.
Monitor ERP data accuracy and coordinate with other departments.
Ensure compliance with the company IT Policy.
Manage IT budget, procurement, and fixed assets including hardware/software.
Install and configure OS and applications as needed.
Manage user accounts, computers, and servers via AD.
Backup and restore data according to company requirements.
Support IT projects and policies across local/global initiatives.
Maintain CCTV and access control infrastructure.
Troubleshoot IT issues across system, network, hardware, and printers.
Provide end-user training and create work instructions.
Develop emergency IT procedures and test regularly.
Respond to callouts timeously.
Handle other tasks as assigned.
