Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking an IT Specialist to oversee the IT department, covering all technical infrastructure, networks, and assets. The role requires hands-on management of server rooms, ERP support, and budget oversight.

Ideal candidates will have a IT degree/diploma, 3 years in a similar role (preferably in automotive/manufacturing), and strong experience with ERP systems, VMware, WAN, Windows, and Office 365. Commitment to reliability and security is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• Degree or Diploma in IT or equivalent is preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar IT role within automotive/manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Establish, monitor, and maintain the server room and network to ensure reliable operation.
• Proactively address operational issues to support production and on-time delivery.
• Support ERP system and maintain shopfloor devices to ensure ERP runs smoothly.
• Monitor ERP data accuracy and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with the company IT Policy.
• Manage IT budget, procurement, and fixed assets including hardware/software.
• Install and configure OS and applications as needed.
• Manage user accounts, computers, and servers via AD.
• Backup and restore data according to company requirements.
• Support IT projects and policies across local/global initiatives.
• Maintain CCTV and access control infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot IT issues across system, network, hardware, and printers.
• Provide end-user training and create work instructions.
• Develop emergency IT procedures and test regularly.
• Respond to callouts timeously.
• Handle other tasks as assigned.

Our client is looking for an IT Specialist who will be responsible for the IT department for all IT Technical infrastructure, Networks and Technical Assets

Education and Experience:

• Matric/ Grade 12

• Degree/ Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent

• 3 years’ experience in a similar role with automotive/ manufacturing experience

• Working experience in ERP systems

• Technical skills: VMWare, 365 office knowledge, Networking technology, WAN infrastructure, Microsoft windows, Anti-Virus Software, Access control and time attendance technology

Responsibilities:

• Establish, monitor, and maintain server room, ensure hardware and network run well

• Proactively address any operational issues in response to production demands to maintain uninterrupted production and on-time delivery

• Support ERP system, maintain shopfloor devices, ensure the ERP system runs well

• Monitor the data accuracy of ERP system and coordinate with other departments

• Ensure compliance with the company’s IT Policy

• Responsible for IT budget, procurement, and management of all IT fixed assets, including hardware and software

• Install and configure Operating system and application as needed

• Manage user accounts, computers, and servers through AD

• Backup and restore user data and production data according to company specifications

• Support the implementing of local or global IT projects and policies as required

• Manage and maintain the CCTV and access control infrastructure
