Job summary

Datafin IT Recruitment is seeking a capable IT Support Technician to join a growing Property Development & Construction Group in Stellenbosch. You will provide first-line IT support, assist with Microsoft 365 administration, support infrastructure tasks and contribute to IT projects.

Requirements include A+ or N+ or equivalent certs, 3–4 years in IT Support/Helpdesk, basic Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 knowledge, plus networking fundamentals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support (hardware, software, network issues).

• Assist with Microsoft 365 setup and basic troubleshooting (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
• Maintain Asset Register and assist with hardware upgrades and asset management.
• Support IT projects and document processes; assist with security/compliance tasks.

ENVIRONMENT

A strong technical IT Support Technician is wanted to join the team of a growing Property Development & Construction Group where your core role will be to provide first-line IT support, assist with Microsoft 365 administration, support infrastructure tasks, and contribute to ongoing IT projects. The ideal candidate must have suitable Certifications such as A+, N+ or similar with 3-4 years’ experience in IT Support / Helpdesk with basic proficiency of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and experience of Networking fundamentals and have good troubleshooting and communication skills. Any experience with Active Directory / Azure AD and Asset Management tools

DUTIES

End-User Support

• Provide first-line support (hardware, software, network issues).
• Log and manage Helpdesk tickets.
• Troubleshoot common issues and provide timely user feedback.

Microsoft 365 Support

• Assist with user setup (accounts, licensing, email, Teams).
• Basic troubleshooting (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
• Support Copilot rollout and basic user guidance.

Device & Asset Management

• Prepare and configure devices for new staff.
• Maintain Asset Register (e.g., Lansweeper).
• Assist with hardware upgrades and replacements.

Basic Network Support

• Assist with Wi-Fi and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Perform basic site checks.
• Escalate complex issues when required.

Project Support

• Assist with IT projects (office setups, upgrades, migrations).
• Follow structured processes and documentation.

Security & Compliance

• Adhere to IT security policies.
• Assist with antivirus checks and updates.
• Report suspicious activity.

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Certifications (A+, N+, etc.).
• 3-4 Years experience in IT Support / Helpdesk.
• Basic knowledge of:
  • Windows 10/11
  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Networking fundamentals
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
