Job summary

Pollock & Associates in Cape Town seeks a capable IT Engineer to keep a Microsoft and virtualised environment stable, secure, and running smoothly. You will own issues from user support through infrastructure, working in a close-knit team that values ownership and practical problem-solving.

You will diagnose hardware, software, network issues; install, configure and upgrade systems; enforce security standards; and document resolutions clearly to ensure knowledge is shared across the team.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology or related field
• Solid grounding in networking principles and infrastructure
• Microsoft, Cisco or VMware certification advantageous
• You explain technical issues in language users understand
• You own a problem until it is solved, not just logged
