Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager based at the Plattekloof office in Cape Town. You will design, secure, and improve IT infrastructure supporting the RSC and restaurant networks, ensuring high availability and performance critical to QSR operations.

The role leads infrastructure teams, manages service delivery, and aligns technology with business continuity and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

IT Diploma / Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
3–5 years' experience in an IT Infrastructure, Systems, or Network Support role.
Experience in multi-site environments (retail or QSR advantageous).
Strong working knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi and VOIP.
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint and OneDrive for Business.
Experience with firewalls and network security (FortiGate and Web Application Firewalls advantageous).
Experience managing wireless networks (e.g. Ubiquiti Access Points).

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure across restaurants and the RSC.
Manage LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VOIP, and cloud infrastructure to support operations.
Ensure 24/7 readiness for store systems including POS and connectivity.
Oversee technical support to restaurants and RSC users, remotely and on-site.
Lead IT Support Officers and manage vendor relationships.
Contribute to IT strategy, budgeting, and roadmaps.
Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance.
