Job summary

Prescient seeks an Investment Operations Team Lead to act as the technical leader of the Investment Operations team. You will oversee the full investment lifecycle across instruments, manage onboarding, settlements, reconciliations and daily operations, while driving risk controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years' experience in Investment Operations, Fund Administration or Asset Management Operations.
• Strong fixed income experience across bonds, money market and credit instruments.
• Experience with OTC derivatives and unlisted investment operations.
• Experience managing fund launches, mandate transitions or complex onboarding projects.
• Experience with outsourced fund administration models.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience within the South African asset management environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational activities of the Investment Operations team.
• Oversee processes across listed, OTC, unlisted, fixed income and credit instruments.
• Ensure controls, procedures and service standards are consistently applied.
• Monitor risks and escalate material issues as needed.
• Support implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Own the full trade lifecycle oversight including pre-trade readiness and post-trade activities.
• Coordinate onboarding across Operations, Compliance, Legal, PFS and the Investment Team.
• Manage relationship with Prescient Fund Services and review service delivery.
