Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a driven Investment Banker Analyst to join their Durban team. This hybrid role offers exposure to a wide range of financial advisory services, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and corporate restructuring.

You will work alongside experienced bankers, supporting the execution of complex transactions, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and developing client presentations such as pitch books and CIMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field with strong academic record.
• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking or related fields.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques; strong Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and presentation abilities; able to work in hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Assist in origination and execution of M&A, debt, and equity financing transactions.
• Perform detailed financial analysis, valuation modeling, and due diligence.
• Prepare client presentation materials including pitch books and CIMs.
• Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
