Job summary

Manpower Group is seeking a Branch Stores Officer to take full responsibility for the stores function within the branch. You will supervise stores staff and ensure accurate stock control across in-transit, branch, and warehouse processes.

The role requires SAP Warehousing experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to reconcile stock discrepancies, conduct cycle counts, and liaise with Head Office to meet demand while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• 2–3 years’ experience at a Storeman I level or in a similar stores/stock-control environment.
• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate stores activities within a branch.
• Working knowledge and practical experience using SAP Warehousing.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of ZOHO CRM, particularly for repairs tracking.
• Strong stock-control and inventory-management experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the stores function within the branch.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of stores staff.
• Monitor stock in transit and ensure no unauthorised stock movements to the store location.
• Monitor weekly stock movements and investigate discrepancies.
• Review weekly SAP-generated stock orders and adjust based on branch requirements.
• Source additional stock from Head Office or other branches when required.
• Resolve customer stock queries by reconciling SAP records, couriered stock and physical stock.
• Conduct and manage physical stock counts.
• Capture and post physical stock counts on SAP.
• Investigate stock discrepancies identified during stock counts.
• Monitor stock levels and recommend safe stock levels based on sales.
• Identify potential stock shortages and implement mitigation measures.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all stock movements are processed.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure stock availability and service delivery.
