Job summary

Clicks Group Limited is recruiting an Inventory Manager (WMS & Systems Control) based in Cape Town to oversee end-to-end inventory accuracy across distribution centres, embedding strong WMS governance and master data integrity while mitigating system-related risks during WMS rollout and stabilisation.

You will lead cycle counts, reconciliation, and IFRS-compliant adjustments, partner with IT and vendors on fixes, and drive reporting and analytics to support DC leadership and Finance.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years inventory or DC operations management experience in FMCG or retail.
• Proven experience managing inventory accuracy in system-driven environments.
• Direct involvement in WMS implementation or recovery.
• Project or change management experience within logistics.
• BCom, Supply Chain, or similar degree.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end inventory accuracy within WMS and integrated systems.
• Lead cycle counts, perpetual counts, and wall-to-wall stocktakes.
• Ensure accurate valuation and IFRS-compliant adjustments.
• Govern duplicate SKU, PO, and pricing anomalies.
• Act as the business owner for inventory-related WMS functionality.
• Define and enforce inventory SOPs and test fixes.
• Monitor and resolve inventory task failures affecting availability.
• Oversee master data quality and slotting control.
• Protect store availability through pick-face integrity and alignment.
• Own daily/weekly/period-end inventory reporting and dashboards.
