Job summary

Mascor Malelane OK Mini Market is seeking a Stock Controller to maintain accurate stock records, reconcile movements, and conduct regular stock counts. You will help manage stock levels, verify deliveries, and ensure expiry and FIFO controls are followed in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires Grade 12, experience with POS/stock management, and an eye for detail. Weekend and after-hours availability may be required during stock takes and promotions.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Experience with POS and stock management systems is preferred.
• Stock control and inventory management experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock records within POS and inventory management systems.
• Ensure stock movements are captured and reconciled.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
• Identify slow-moving and ageing stock and coordinate markdowns or promotions.
• Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment needs.
• Assist with month-end stock valuations and audits.
• Ensure FIFO and expiry date controls are followed.
• Maintain filing and recordkeeping systems.
