Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Retail Stock Controller for an Upington, Northern Cape store. The role focuses on inventory accuracy, counts, and efficient stock turnover to support sales targets.

You will implement controls to reduce shrinkage, manage receipts and dispatches, and work with the sales team on forecasts. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with ERP/inventory software in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as Stock Controller, Inventory Clerk, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and stocktaking procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Manage receiving and dispatching of goods with proper documentation.
• Implement procedures to minimize shrinkage, damage, and obsolescence.
• Monitor stock levels and provide reports on inventory status and turnover.
• Collaborate with sales to forecast stock needs for popular items.
• Maintain a clean, organized stockroom/warehouse and ensure policy compliance.
