Job summary

Wheco Group is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Supervisor to manage daily inventory operations, ensure stock accuracy, and support operational and financial performance. You will lead a team, coordinate counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement process improvements to safeguard assets and drive accountability.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in inventory control, supervisory experience, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification.
• 3–5 years’ inventory control or stock management experience.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience with inventory systems, stock reconciliation, and reporting.
• Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or Inventory Management (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inventory operations and coordinate team activities.
• Monitor stock accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and resolve inventory variances.
• Coordinate cycle counts, quarterly stocktakes, and annual stocktakes.
• Process and authorise inventory adjustments, journals, and inventory records.
• Prepare inventory reports and monitor stock gains and losses.
• Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
• Maintain inventory controls, safeguard company assets, and identify process improvements.
• Support and develop the inventory team while promoting accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
