Overall purpose of the internship

The purpose of a psychology internship, as outlined by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), is to provide aspiring psychologists with comprehensive, supervised practical experience, ensuring they gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies to practice independently and ethically.
