Placements24 is seeking an Educational Psychologist to join the Soweto-based support services team. The role focuses on assessing students' learning, emotional, and behavioural needs and developing tailored interventions to support academic and personal growth.

You will collaborate with educators, parents, and external stakeholders to create a nurturing learning environment while applying a range of assessment tools and intervention techniques.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Psychology or related field.
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Educational Psychologist.
• Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of students to identify learning, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
• Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans and therapeutic strategies for individual students and groups.
• Provide counseling and support to students experiencing academic, social, or emotional challenges.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to implement support strategies.
• Offer consultation and training to school staff on child development, mental health, and learning strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and interventions.
