Job summary

IIE Rosebank College in Pretoria is seeking a dedicated lecturer to teach, counsel students and contribute to academic research and development. The role involves delivering lectures, running Student Support workshops and providing subject-specific tutorials in alignment with timetable.

You will collaborate with the Academic Development Co-ordinator and contract lecturers to raise teaching standards, support student success and adapt to evolving platforms.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a B.Ed. Honour’s degree in the Intermediate Phase (Mathematics).
• School Teaching experience in the Intermediate Phase (3 years).
• Lecturing experience 1 – 3 years (Ideal).

Responsibilities

• Lecturing and facilitate Student Support workshops and subject-specific tutorials as required.
• Teaching and Learning Support.
• Develop teaching & learning capacity and standards on campus by assisting the Academic Development Co-ordinator and contract lecturers.
• Ensure academic conventions are taught on campus and preparation, lecturing and marking in relevant discipline according to timetable.
• Work with librarians on information literacy for students and lecturers.
• Coordinate and run lecturer forums and faculty meetings under the direction of Academic Development Consultants.
