Role Summary

This role is ideal for some who is passionate about working with advanced electronic systems in aviation. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing of avionic systems and components, ensuring they meet aviation standards and operational performance requirements.

You'll work within a multidisciplinary team that integrates mechanical, electrical, and software systems across advanced aerospace platforms. This role requires a hands‑on approach, a strong understanding of avionic principles, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in a high‑technology environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, and integrate aircraft components, sub‑assemblies, and complete avionics systems in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Inspect, test, and verify the functionality and integrity of avionics components, sub‑assemblies, and aircraft systems to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Release aircraft components, sub‑assemblies, and completed aircraft in accordance with company authorisations, approvals, and applicable aviation regulations.
  • Perform diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fault‑finding activities on electronic and avionics systems to identify and resolve defects or discrepancies.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with quality, safety, and airworthiness requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and traceability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to support integration testing, modifications, and system upgrades.
  • Maintain tooling, equipment, and work areas in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Provide technical input and feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives within the integration and maintenance environment.
Requirements
  • Up to 2 years of experience in the aviation, medical, or automotive industry.
  • Trade Test in Electrical or Light Current Electrical Engineering studies, recognised Aircraft Mechanic (Avionics) qualification will also be considered beneficial.
  • Analytical thinker with strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills in electronic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Good understanding of aviation safety and maintenance standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Own transport and valid driver’s licence required.
  • Willingness to travel or work flexible hours as required by project needs.
