Job summary

This in-office role manages an existing client portfolio while actively developing new business. You will build relationships, conduct risk assessments, tailor insurance solutions, prepare quotations, and support claims.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years in short-term/commercial insurance.
• RE5 and full FAIS compliance.
• NQF Level 4 or 5 in Short-Term Insurance or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an allocated portfolio of short-term and commercial insurance clients.
• Source, develop and secure new business opportunities to grow the portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to support retention.
• Conduct regular client reviews and detailed risk assessments.
• Provide tailored insurance solutions aligned with each client's needs and exposures.
• Prepare and present professional quotations and proposals.
• Negotiate terms, premiums and cover with insurers and underwriting partners.
