Placements24 is seeking an Insurance Claims Assessor in Kimberley to join our client’s team. The role involves investigating and evaluating insurance claims to determine liability and coverage, liaising with policyholders, witnesses and other parties, and ensuring fair settlements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Claims Assessor, Adjuster, or similar role in insurance.
• Solid understanding of insurance principles, policy contracts, and claims investigation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned insurance claims thoroughly, gathering evidence and documentation.
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and other parties to obtain detailed incident accounts.
• Analyze policy terms to determine coverage eligibility and assess liability.
• Evaluate damages and obtain quotes for repairs or replacements when necessary.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants within established guidelines.
• Prepare detailed assessment reports with findings, recommendations, and settlement proposals.
