Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Insurance Broking Assistant to join a dynamic and independent brokerage in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. The role involves supporting brokers with client servicing, policy administration and compliance to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of administrative experience in insurance, strong organizational skills, and good communication abilities. Training and development opportunities are provided in a collaborative coastal work environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 required; tertiary qualification or insurance cert is a plus.
• 1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably in insurance/financial services.
• Proficiency in MS Office and administration tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide admin support to brokers, manage diaries and client correspondence.
• Assist with preparation of insurance quotes and policy documentation.
• Process new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations in the system.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding policies, claims, and general insurance matters.
• Maintain accurate client records and databases.
• Liaise with insurance providers to obtain quotes and resolve queries.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Assist with the claims process by gathering information and documentation.
• Support the sales team in achieving business objectives.
