Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Instrumentation Technician to support operations in Sandton. You will calibrate, install, troubleshoot, and repair a range of instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, ensuring accuracy and safety in a demanding industrial setting.

You will work with DCS and PLCs, read P&ID diagrams, and perform preventive maintenance to keep systems reliable. Hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for advanced technical training are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified Instrumentation Technician with a relevant trade certificate or diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience calibrating sensors and transmitters (pressure, temp, flow, level).
• Proficient reading and interpretation of P&ID diagrams and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, install, and maintain industrial instruments and transmitters.
• Troubleshoot faults in instrumentation and control systems and perform repairs.
• Read P&ID diagrams and manuals for system understanding.
• Work with DCS/PLCs as required and perform preventive maintenance.
