Job summary

Square 1 Recruitment is seeking an Internal Sales Engineer for the Gauteng region to support customers with industrial instrumentation solutions and technical sales guidance. The role involves preparing technical quotations, handling RFQs, and coordinating with Logistics for smooth order fulfilment.

The candidate will work closely with External Sales Engineers, develop key accounts, and identify upsell opportunities while maintaining accurate CRM records and following through through to order

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a technical sales environment with instrumentation.
• Matric plus a National Diploma, N6 or Trade Test in Instrumentation.
• Strong ability to interpret customer requirements and propose solutions.
• Experience preparing technical quotations and handling RFQs.
• Proficient with MS Office and CRM systems; SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries and RFQs with appropriate instrumentation solutions.
• Prepare accurate technical quotations based on applications.
• Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into orders.
• Coordinate with Logistics to ensure order fulfilment.
• Maintain customer records and sales pipelines in CRM.
• Collaborate with Projects, Service, Logistics and Finance to resolve requirements.
• Develop customer relationships and upsell/cross-sell.
• Support sales targets and contribute to customer growth.
