Job summary

Solenis is seeking an Instrumentation Technician in Kempton Park, Gauteng to perform instrumentation work across plant, workshop or other Solenis facilities during production/operation processes without direct supervision, ensuring instrumentation and control are in good condition to supply the sales team with the correct product on time and within specification.

The role requires a trade test and 3–5 years post-qualification experience, plus hands-on industrial plant knowledge, with reporting

Qualifications

• Instrumentation Trade Test is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, program, repair and calibrate process instrumentation and pneumatic equipment.
• Field instrumentation, hardware installation, racking and cabling.
• Calibration, standardizing, and commissioning packaging systems.
• Programming and coding on PLCs and DCS; HMI design.
• Plan work and solve problems; enforce safety and housekeeping.
