Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join the on-site operations team in Paarl, Western Cape. You will design, implement, calibrate and maintain instrumentation and control systems to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient industrial processes.

Work with PLCs, DCS and SCADA, apply sensor technologies, calibrate instruments and tune control loops, and uphold safety standards. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics and hands-on instrumentation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
Proven experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems engineering.
Proficiency with PLC programming and configuration of common industrial control systems.
Knowledge of sensor technologies and control valve applications.
Experience with calibration procedures and maintenance of instrumentation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex process controls.

Responsibilities

Design, select, and install industrial instrumentation (pressure, temperature, etc.).
Develop and maintain PLC/DCS control system logic and configurations.
Calibrate instruments and troubleshoot control loops.
Implement and maintain SCADA systems for process monitoring.
Ensure instrumentation and control systems meet safety and industry standards.
Provide technical support for instrumentation-related issues and process optimization.
