Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer for roles in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design, implement, and maintain automated control systems and instrumentation across industrial processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and safety of measurement and control loops.

You should have strong PLC and SCADA knowledge, familiarity with instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, and flow sensors, and a solid grasp of process control principles to support

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering.
Proficiency in PLC programming and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

Design, specify, and select instrumentation for process applications.
Develop and implement control system strategies including PLC programming and SCADA configuration.
Commissioning and calibration of new instrumentation and control systems.
Troubleshoot instrumentation, control loops, and automation hardware/software.
Develop and maintain P&IDs, control narratives, and instrument data sheets.
