Placements24 is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our client in Benoni. You will design, implement, and maintain industrial control systems to monitor and optimize processes with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires hands-on expertise in PLC/DCS programming, HMI/SCADA development, and instrumentation calibration, with at least 5 years in industrial environments. A proactive, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
Experience with PLC/DCS platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Emerson).
Experience with process automation, SCADA, and HMI development.
Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, install, and commission instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes.
Develop and maintain PLC/DCS logic, HMI interfaces, and SCADA systems.
Perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instruments and control loops.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve process control strategies.
Ensure systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate and recommend new instrumentation and control technologies.
