Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Trainee Instrumentation Artisan Apprentice to join our Mossel Bay team. You will learn to install, calibrate and maintain instruments used to control process variables in industrial settings, working with experienced technicians and gaining hands-on skills in instrumentation and control systems.

The program offers comprehensive training, mentorship, and a monthly stipend, preparing you for a career in process automation and instrumentation with exposure to modern plants

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science.
• Aptitude for technical problem solving.
• Ability to work with electrical/electronic components.
• Willingness to work in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, maintenance and calibration of process instruments.
• Learn to read instrumentation diagrams and P&ID schematics.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty instrumentation under supervision.
• Assist in configuration and testing of new instrumentation systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
