Job summary

TAG Energy is seeking a qualified, registered electrician to install and commission C&I solar PV, battery storage and hybrid inverter systems, and to issue CoCs.

The role requires hands-on installation across sites, fault finding, and mentoring on-site teams, with willingness to travel. Trade-tested with 3+ years' C&I and solar/BESS experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Trade-tested electrician with valid registration.
• Experience in C&I solar PV and battery storage.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and CoCs.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install LV, PV, inverter and BESS systems to SANS 10142-1 standards.
• Test, commission and issue CoCs under Electrical Installation Regulations.
• Support grid-tie / SSEG documentation (NRS 097-2-1).
• Identify faults and correct non-compliant installations.
• Lead and mentor on-site installation teams.

Introduction

TAG Energy is growing its Commercial & Industrial projects team. We're looking for a qualified, registered electrician to install and commission C&I solar PV, battery storage and hybrid inverter systems, and to issue CoCs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install LV, PV, inverter and BESS systems to SANS 10142-1 and SANS 10142-1-2
• Test, commission and issue CoCs under the Electrical Installation Regulations
• Support grid-tie / SSEG compliance documents (NRS 097-2-1)
• Find faults and correct non-compliant installations
• Lead and mentor on-site installation teams

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Trade tested electrician (Section 13(2) / Red Seal)
• Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or Master Installation Electrician
• 3+ years' C&I experience, including three-phase installations
• Hands-on solar PV and battery storage experience
• Valid driver's licence and willing to travel

Nice to have: PV GreenCard, commercial BESS commissioning, inverter brand experience (Sungrow, Huawei, SMA, Deye, Victron, Sigenergy), Working at Heights
