Qualifications

• BEd or PGCE in foundation phase education (honours advantageous).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a foundation phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the CAPS and IEB curriculum.

• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate Foundation Phase subjects per Curro curriculum.
• Plan lessons using modern tools, create workbooks, and measure progress.
• Review and adjust term plan; organise parent learning meetings.
• Manage classroom, set up for optimal performance, and discipline.
• Oversee assessments, rosters, revisions, and interventions.
• Plan homework and manage extramural activities and outings.
