Job summary

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver stimulating, play-based learning experiences for learners in the Foundation Phase (Grades R-3).
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports literacy, numeracy, and holistic child development.
• Assess and track learner progress through observation, informal and formal assessments, and maintain accurate records.
• Create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth.

Requirements

• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE) with specialization in Foundation Phase teaching.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching in the Foundation Phase.
• In-depth understanding of the CAPS curriculum for Grades R-3.
• Strong abilities in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and positive discipline techniques.
