Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Automotive Interior Design Specialist to join their Paarl design studio. You will conceptualize and develop aesthetically pleasing and ergonomic interior environments for future vehicle models, translating brand identity into compelling interior designs using clay models, renderings, and material samples.
The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio, 3-5 years in automotive interior design, and proficiency in Alias, Sketchbook Pro, Photoshop, and 3D modeling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or Transportation Design.
- 3–5 years of automotive interior design experience.
- Strong portfolio of interior concepts and executions.
- Proficiency in Alias, Sketchbook Pro, Photoshop and 3D modeling tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop interior design concepts, sketches, and renderings aligned with brand strategy.
- Create detailed 3D models and cabin layouts.
- Select materials, colors, and finishes with cost considerations.
- Collaborate with engineering for feasibility and safety compliance.
- Present proposals to stakeholders with clear rationale.
- Stay updated on automotive design trends and material innovations.
