MID-SENIOR / SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

Paarl, Western Cape | Hybrid

An established interior design studio is looking for a confident and well-rounded Mid-Senior / Senior Interior Designer to join its growing team.

We are looking for someone who can take projects from design development through technical documentation and site implementation, with a strong balance of creativity, technical ability and practical construction knowledge.

Key requirements

• Strong creative eye and understanding of materials, finishes, proportion and detailing.
• Strong Revit proficiency is essential.
• Able to produce comprehensive technical and construction drawing packages.
• Experience with plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, finishes, lighting, electrical and plumbing layouts.
• Good understanding of construction methods and interior detailing.
• Comfortable coordinating with architects, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Able to work within project budgets and make cost-conscious design decisions.
• Good supplier and product knowledge.
• Comfortable attending site visits, taking measurements and resolving site issues.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Collaborative team player who is comfortable supporting and guiding junior designers.
• Hospitality, commercial or high-end residential experience would be advantageous.

Ideal candidate

• Approximately 5+ years' relevant interior design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating both creative design ability and tech.
