Placements24 is recruiting a dedicated Project Manager to drive infrastructure development in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will oversee planning, execution and commissioning, coordinating with government agencies, engineers and community representatives.

The role emphasizes quality, safety and environmental standards, with site visits, regular reporting and strong stakeholder engagement within the Mossel Bay community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a focus on infrastructure development.
• Proven experience managing projects involving roads, utilities, or public facilities.
• Strong understanding of local building regulations and environmental impact assessments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for infrastructure development projects, from feasibility studies to final commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress monitoring to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
• Ensure effective communication and reporting to all project stakeholders, including local authorities and community leaders.
