Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Civil Project Engineer for our Bloemfontein team. The role oversees planning, execution, and completion of civil projects, coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and resources while maintaining high safety and quality standards. The hybrid model offers in-office collaboration and remote oversight of diverse infrastructure projects in the Free State region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the civil engineering sector.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software .
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.
• Coordinate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure compliance with all project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, and other stakeholders, both in-person and remotely.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption.
