Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Cloud Manager to lead the design, management, optimisation, security and scalability of their enterprise infrastructure estate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, security and cost-effectiveness of cloud, on-premise and hybrid infrastructure environments while driving operational excellence and supporting business growth.
This is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role that combines infrastructure architecture, cloud operations, cybersecurity, governance, disaster recovery and FinOps.
- Design and manage resilient cloud, hybrid and on‑premise infrastructure.
- Ensure maximum uptime and service availability.
- Implement proactive monitoring and alerting.
- Maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Partner with application teams to implement effective change management processes.
- Reduce recurring infrastructure incidents and improve operational stability.
- Implement performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Architect scalable environments capable of supporting future growth.
- Optimise infrastructure performance and resource utilisation.
- Manage data storage, backup and infrastructure efficiency.
- Develop and execute infrastructure security strategies.
- Lead vulnerability management and patching initiatives.
- Manage incident response processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant governance and security frameworks.
- Participate in technology governance and risk management forums.
- Implement cloud cost management practices.
- Monitor and optimise cloud expenditure.
- Negotiate with vendors and service providers.
- Drive efficiencies through automation, rightsizing and resource optimisation.
- 5–7 years Infrastructure and/or Cloud Management experience.
- 5+ years infrastructure design, support and operations experience.
- 3–5 years leadership or people management experience.
- Experience managing hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with cloud security, governance and compliance.
- Proven exposure to cloud cost optimisation and FinOps practices.
