Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Architect with a cloud focus to design, implement, and manage secure cloud environments for OT/IT assets. The role is based in Richards Bay but offers full remote flexibility, supporting a strategic security program across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in information security, with 4+ years in cloud security architecture, and strong knowledge of ICS/SCADA security, IAM, data protection, and threat modeling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 7+ years in information security with at least 4 years focused on cloud security architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience with security for ICS/SCADA is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of network security, IAM, data encryption, and threat modeling.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and cloud-specific guidelines.
• Certifications like AWS Security—Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP are preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment.
