Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 8+ years in information security with at least 4 years in an architecture role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex security architectures for large enterprises.
• Deep understanding of network, endpoint, identity and access management, data and cloud security.
• Expertise with NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and CIS Controls.
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, encryption, vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure security best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISSAP are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-wide information security architecture aligned with business objectives and risk tolerance.
• Define security requirements for new IT projects, systems, and applications.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to protect against threats.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the logistics and supply chain industry located in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, is seeking an experienced Information Security Architect to design and implement comprehensive security solutions across their enterprise environment. This is a senior role responsible for defining the security roadmap, ensuring that security is integrated into all aspects of IT infrastructure and business processes. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable, and resilient architectural designs. The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical understanding of cybersecurity principles, experience with various security technologies, and a proven ability to architect robust security frameworks. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to influence decision-making at all levels. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
