The ideal candidate has a trade qualification (Fitter and Turner or equivalent), at least six years of hands-on pump experience, and strong ability to read schematics and P&IDs. Willingness to travel and work in challenging industrial environments is required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years' experience with industrial pump systems.
• Ability to read schematics and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of pump hydraulics, seals, and motor controls.
• Welding or pipefitting experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain industrial pump systems.
• Diagnose operational faults and performance issues.
• Repair pump components, seals, bearings, motors, and piping.
• Interpret drawings, P&IDs, and manuals for installation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and lubrication.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
• Ensure site safety and environmental compliance.
• Prepare service reports detailing work performed and parts used.
