Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Pump Installation and Repair Specialist to join our client in Midrand, Gauteng. You will install, commission, test, and maintain a wide range of industrial pumps, ensuring reliability for manufacturing, water treatment, and mining operations.

The role demands hands-on mechanical fitting experience, ability to read drawings, perform preventive servicing, seal replacements, and bearing services, while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Industrial Pump Technician or similar mechanical fitting role.
• Strong understanding of industrial pump types, operation, and maintenance.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Skilled with precision measuring tools and hand tools.
• Knowledge of welding and pipefitting is advantageous.
• Safety-conscious with experience working with high-pressure systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test industrial pumps and piping per specs.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on pumps.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical pump issues.
• Repair including seals, impellers, bearings.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance and installation work.
• Provide client guidance on pump operation and maintenance.
• Assist inventory management of pump parts.
• Respond to urgent emergency service calls in Midrand.
