Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our client in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, on-site. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems for large-scale industrial machinery, with involvement from concept through prototyping and testing.

The successful candidate will bring 1–3 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Basic understanding of engineering analysis principles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work on-site in Richards Bay.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for industrial machinery using CAD.
• Create drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
• Perform stress, strain, and thermal analyses.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams.
• Test and validate prototypes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
