Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic understanding.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
• Experience using diagnostic and hand/power tools.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Physically capable of manual tasks in plant environments.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and overtime in Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plant machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic issues and apply solutions.
• Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and install equipment per schematics.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure safety regulations and company procedures are followed.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests to restore operation quickly.
• Record maintenance activities, parts used, and hours worked.
• Coordinate with production staff to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex equipment problems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the maintenance dept.
