Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Machinery Mechanic to join our client’s manufacturing facility in Klerksdorp. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of industrial machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity on production lines.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving mechanical issues in a demanding industrial environment in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Industrial Machinery Mechanic or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including gears, bearings, motors and power transmission.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools; precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively, including hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical systems.
• Understanding of safety procedures for working with heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on all industrial machinery according to established schedules.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Install, align, and calibrate new machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment status.
