Placements24 in Queenstown is seeking an experienced Industrial Machinery Mechanic to join the maintenance team. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and carry out repairs to keep production lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a solid knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, reads blueprints, and follows safety procedures in a manufacturing setting. This is a site-based role with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic maintaining complex machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all industrial machinery, including lubrication, cleaning, and component checks.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
• Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, such as bearings, gears, belts, and hydraulic components.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repair and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all machinery is operating safely and efficiently, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed on machinery in Queenstown.
